What it is
Contents: two pieces that lock together like a puzzle.
Surface: raised grooves winding into a spiral, with a fine dotted relief between them.
Use: with a finger or the palm, with one or both hands.
Dimensions: 30 × 60 cm – a handy size for a table or your lap.
How it is used
Place a finger in the groove and follow the path. There is no route to choose – the path leads the way, so the mind gets a break from making decisions.
Some follow the path with their eyes, others close them and go by touch alone.
The second way is harder, and children usually find it more interesting.
With two pieces, two people can sit at the table – each with their own spiral.
Where it is used
At the desk or study table – for hands that can’t keep still.
In the child’s room – a calm, screen-free activity.
In kindergartens, occupational therapy sessions and sensory rooms.
On the go – flat and light, fits in a backpack.
Materials and care
Durable, flexible plastic. Meets EN 71 toy safety and REACH requirements. Made in Latvia (EU).
Cleaning: wipe with a damp cloth and soap. Not dishwasher safe.
Storage: in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Do not leave under heavy objects for long – the material may deform.
A path for your finger to follow
The grooves wind into a spiral and the finger follows them from start to finish. There is no route to choose – the path leads the way, so the movement naturally slows down. Between the grooves there is a fine dotted relief that you feel with your whole palm.
What’s in the box
Two pieces, 30 × 30 cm each
Put together, they make a 30 × 60 cm path. They lock together like a puzzle, just like all ORTOTO mats.
Two surfaces on each piece
Raised grooves in a spiral and a fine dotted relief around them – two different sensations on the same mat.
The same locks
Both pieces connect to any ORTOTO path you already have – the labyrinth can sit right in the middle of it.
Designed and made in Latvia, Northern Europe. All production takes place in the EU.

The groove leads the way
